Einar Torssell



Einar was born in Sweden and became a resident of Waupaca in the early 1900’s. He was a carpenter and a cabinet maker. He married his wife Lucy in 1916 and had one child, Neil, who was born in 1931. Einar was an active resident of Waupaca, served as an alderman for many years and was a member of the Conservation League and its’ President for part of the time. He is reported to have acted as a deer hunting guide during his time in Waupaca. He relocated to Fort Atkinson to live near his son and died there in 1954 at the age of 69. He produced both Canvasback and Mallard decoys. They are well made and hard to find.
