Tom Kolosso

Tom Kolosso, a native of Appleton, was born in 1939. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing but duck hunting was his passion. Late season bluebills were a favorite. As a young hunter, Tom began carving decoys in the early 1950’s out of necessity. He continued carving hunting decoys for himself and friends through the 1950’s and 1960’s. Encouraged by his wife, he began carving show decoys in the 1970’s and continued carving until his death in 2012.
